How do I Start?
There is a check list of things that all organisations should demonstrate are in place and functioning but other activities to be examined should reflect the organisation’s objectives. Similarly, some stakeholders (people within, or just affected by, the organisation) would be considered key in giving a true picture of an organisation’s value, others need not be consulted for every set of accounts.
This process is covered during the two-day Social Accounting Master-class and enables the student to carry out the collection of information and the production of a set of social accounts for their own or another’s organisation.
There are also Workshops which enable people with more experience to gain extra knowledge and apply to become registered Social Accountants. They can then take a set of accounts ‘to panel’: essentially to objectively check the information a set of accounts contains can be verified and gives a true picture of an organisation.
