Events, Training & Support

 

In order to promote and enable the practice of social accounting and audit, we organise training workshops, virtual (and in person) events, large scale Gatherings of our Members and friends, and Roadshows across the UK, many with our partner organisations.

We use Eventbrite to take bookings for all our events. Many are free, but where we provide training or incur expenses ourselves for room hire or to provide refreshments, for example, we will charge a small fee to cover our costs.

Training Workshops

SAN provides 2 main workshops for people wishing to become a social accountant or a social auditor:

 

Prove, Improve and Account 

Prove, Improve and Account Workshops are aimed at people who wish to understand the Four Step social accounting process either in order to facilitate the process with social economy organisations or to use it within their own organisation. The Workshop will go through the Four Step process in detail from the perspective of a facilitator/trainer and will give you all that you need to be a social accountant.

 

Social Auditor Workshop

Social Auditor Workshops are aimed specifically at those people wishing to become SAN approved Social Auditors. Participants should have sound prior knowledge and/or experience of the social accounting and audit process either by having used it for their own or another organisation or by having attended one of SAN's two-day PIA or similar SAN recognised training.

Support with your social accounting

SAN’s network of Members includes a range of highly experienced social accounting practitioners. Whilst we don’t maintain a list of social accounting consultants, please do follow the links provided at each Member’s logo to contact them directly. All our Members are keen to help others, share experience and provide paid-for advice.
